Access Application settings
- Click Settings at the bottom of the left menu.
- Select the General tab.
- Scroll to the Application section.
Launch ShareGate Desktop at system startup
Toggle off to prevent ShareGate Desktop from opening at system startup.
Keep ShareGate Desktop running in the system tray when closing the window
Toggle off to disallow ShareGate Desktop to stay open in your system tray.
Note: You can still exit ShareGate Desktop when it is open in your system tray. Just right click over the icon and select Exit.
Enable automatic updates
Keep the toggle on to allow ShareGate Desktop to enable automatic updates. If you toggle off, you will be prompted when updates are available.
When an update is available, click the Restart and Update button to install the update immediately.
Note: ShareGate Desktop will only automatically download an update when in Idle Mode, meaning that it is minimized to the system tray and no tasks are active or migrations are running.
