When opening the Sharegate app (whether it was closed or in idle mode), you get this error pop-up:
Something went wrong!
We were unable to load your local Sharegate data. As a result, you may lose your recent connections, scheduled tasks, custom reports, and custom configurations. All task history, including migration reports, will still be accessible through the All Tasks menu.
This error occurs when there is corruption on one or several items in your personal data, or cache.
Due the corruption, Sharegate will not load the data to prevent major stability issues or fatal errors from occuring.
When this happens, there is no way to safely restore your local Sharegate data.
You will have to re-connect to your environments and manually recreate all:
An important note on custom configurations (custom settings): The Help improve Sharegate option which allows Sharegate to gather telemetry data has been enabled. If you hadn't disabled this feature, no action is needed. You can update this setting anytime in Advanced Settings.
