Symptoms
When doing a pre-migration check or while performing a migration, the following message is displayed:
When using the Insane Mode, it is necessary to have the site collection administrator permissions at your destination.
Error code
- AN-079-219
- IN-705-219
Details
We require that the user used for a migration using the Insane Mode possesses the site collection administration rights on the destination site. Office365 will return an error if the user is not the Site Collection administrator of the destination site collection, since you need to have this permission to create a migration job.
Solution
Grant Site Collection Administrator permissions to the user performing the migration at the destination.

what is to happen if Sharegate reports this error, but you check & you do see the account listed as a site collection admin?
Hey Steve, thank you for taking the time to write your inquiry!
If you have confirmed that your account is listed as a site collection admin, we'll need a bit more information to help you with that issue. I will go ahead and open a ticket for you with our Support team.
I have two accounts; one is an admin and one isn't. I accidentally signed in with my non-admin account when attempting to migrate from a file share and got this message. I cannot figure out how to sign in with my admin account. I disconnected in Explorer but in Migration it is still remembering the cached credentials - how do I disconnect in Migration?
Hey Joe, thanks for taking the time to write to us!
Check out this article for instructions on connecting as an admin: Connect to SharePoint and Office 365 (you'll need to jump to either Connect to Central Administration (SharePoint) or Connect to Global Administration (Office 365), depending on whether you are migrating on-premises or online).
For the migration credentials, disconnecting or cleaning your cache is not necessary. You just need to return to the top of the Migration menu and click Import from File Share to start a new session with the correct credentials.
Hope that helps!
If you have any more questions you can open a ticket and our awesome Support team will be happy to help you further.

Hello again, I was to impatient, even though I was listed as an admin for the site, it took 30 more minutes for sharegate to actually work. So its fine now.
When you migrate on a trail version, it says that it might skipp files, do you get a report of the files that has been skipped?
Hey Andreas! Thank you for the follow up!
No, you will not see skipped files in the migration report. This limitation protects against abusive usage when using the trial version, while still allowing you to fully test Sharegate.
Hope you are enjoying our product!
