When attempting to copy an item, Sharegate displays the following error:
The value 'X' is unavailable. This can happen if your external content type is not correctly configured or the default filter does not target the display field associated with the external data field in your list.
The error occurs because the value in the source field cannot be found at the destination. Either the external content type is not the same in the destination list or the value no longer exists.
This can also happen if the default filter of the operation list in your external content type at the destination does not target the column selected in your external data field.
There are several possible solutions to this issue:
- Ensure that your external content type at the destination is similar to the one at your source
- Ensure that your source data is not out of sync with your external system (see here for more information on this operation)
- Ensure that the requested value can be found using the external data picker at the destination with the default filter. If not, adjust your filters on the list operation for this external content type.
