When attempting to copy a custom list web part form with no web part zone, ShareGate Desktop displays the following message:
Could not convert WebPart: The content of the WebPart is not in a WebPart Zone for page (URL).
You can create a custom list form for which the web part is not contained in a web part zone in SharePoint 2007. It is also possible to modify the New, Edit, and Display forms to remove the web part zone.
A web part created or modified this way will not work in SharePoint 2010 and newer. Since ShareGate Desktop cannot find the web part zone, the web part cannot be converted during the migration.
Note: As of November 2021, ShareGate is no longer able to provide full support for SharePoint Server 2003 and 2007, which are past the end of their Microsoft support lifetime. For more information, see Contacting our technical support team.
