Details
In order for ShareGate Desktop to be able to migrate sites and lists/libraries, the site templates and list/library templates must be available at the destination.
The Fab 40 templates were only available in SharePoint 2007 and are no longer available in SharePoint 2010 (and later). This means that ShareGate Desktop cannot create the sites, lists and libraries based on those templates at the destination. However, the content of the lists and libraries can still be migrated.
Workaround
If you are willing to manually recreate all the lists and libraries based on the Fab 40 templates, you can do these steps to migrate your environment:
- Create the sites manually on the destination.
- For each site, copy all the lists/libraries inside the site. ShareGate Desktop will give errors if there are list templates that come from the Fab 40 templates and that prevent lists from being migrated.
- For the lists that cause errors, create the lists manually at the destination.
- Use Copy SharePoint Content to copy the content of the manually created lists.
