You need the correct administrative rights for your connection.

Establishing a connection
In Explorer
- Navigate to the Explorer.
- Click on the connection menu at the left of the search bar.
- Click
in the connection menu.
- Enter your connection information (see A guide to your connection options below).
- Click

In Copy
- Select Copy in the menu.
- Select the action you want to perform from the menu.
- Enter your connection information (see A guide to your connection options below).
- Click

- Select your target. For example, you select a list or library when using Copy content.
- Click

- Repeat steps (1) to (6) for the destination if applicable.

Site Address
You can connect using a site address, SharePoint admin center address or Central Administration address. Review our Site address guide for connection article for more information.
Sign in with
Current Windows User
Connect using your current Windows session credentials.
Other user
Connect by manually entering a username and password.
Browser
Connect through a Browser Authentication session.
Username
Your username to access your site, SharePoint admin center, or central administration.
Password
Your password to access your site, SharePoint admin center, or central admin.
Single Sign-On
Your workstation may use the SharePoint single sign-on (SSO) feature, which will automatically login without asking for credentials each session.
Disabling single sign-on will ensure that you must login each time you connect using browser authentication.
If you notice unforeseen behavior associated to your connected account, you should disable single sign-on to ensure that you are logging in with the correct account.
Disabling the single sign-on option will force the app to prompt for user credentials during the authentication process.
