Copy Structure allows you to copy site objects from your source SharePoint environment to your destination SharePoint environment.
Prerequisites
- Global Administrator, SharePoint Administrator, or Site collection Administrator permissions are always recommended.

How-To
- Click Copy.
- Select Copy Structure.
- Add your source credentials.
- Click Connect.
- Select your source.
- Click Next.
- Add you destination credentials.
- Click Connect.
- Select your destination.
- Click Next.
- Select the type of object you would like to copy from the list of Site Objects. Your options are:
- Sites
- Lists and Libraries
- Content Types
- Site Columns
- Groups
- Permission Levels
- Workflows
- Managed Metadata
- Sites
- Select the site object(s) you want to copy from the source.
- Drag and drop it into the destination or click
in the bottom right corner. See Copy Options if you need to apply specific parameters.
- Once the action is completed, the migration report will show any successes, warning, or errors. See Migration Report for more details.
Note: When a Group is detected at the destination, ShareGate Desktop does not automatically update the group membership. To ensure that your group has been migrated properly, you can run a Permissions Matrix Report, or copy the group before copying the object to ensure source members are added to the destination.
