Purchasing a license gives you access to the application for a 12-months, 24-months, or 36-months period.
Your license gives you access to the Explorer, Reporting, Inventory, and Migration, as well as unlimited support.
If you have an active ShareGate Desktop license, you can convert your subscription to ShareGate Productivity at no extra cost. This will give you access to ShareGate Apricot as well as ShareGate Desktop. Learn more.
You can buy a license here.
Note: ShareGate Desktop works on a one-license-per-customer model. In the eventuality that one license is being used for multiple customers, ShareGate Desktop has the right to terminate the license. It is important to note that the app always requires certain administrative rights.

Seat
The licenses grant you access to a number of seats. A seat is defined as a specific user on a specific workstation. For example, if you buy a one-seat license, you'll be able to activate ShareGate Desktop for one user on one computer only.
A seat can be transferred from one user to another (see this how to guide on our blog).
Note: The app generates a machine code from a combination of your user account and your machine information. The machine code is then associated to your seat when you activate it. You must deactivate your seat before re-imaging, changing the machine name, or changing the domain. Otherwise, that seat will remain used with your machine's prior information and you won't be able to reactivate your seat.
