If your connection gets blocked, these are the ports and URLs an IT admin can whitelist in your proxy or firewall.
ShareGate Desktop requires two basic ports:
- HTTP (80)
- HTTPS (443)
If you are migrating to a SharePoint Online or Microsoft 365 destination with Insane Mode, whitelist the following URLs:
- https://azure.microsoft.com
- *.queue.core.windows.net
- *.blob.core.windows.net
- nintexO365.com (if you are migrating Nintex elements)
For ShareGate Desktop licensing, updates, telemetry, and to migrate Nintex workflows from/to Microsoft 365, whitelist the following URL:

By whitelisting the URLs, do we mean adding them to the trusted sites of the browser on the machine running the tool?

Not really. These ports and URLs should be whitelisted in a Proxy or Firewall if you are under one. If you work on a business network, it is often something an IT admin would manage.
