This feature gives you an overview of your source target in order to estimate the effort it would take to migrate it to SharePoint or Microsoft 365.
Notes:
This feature does not support SharePoint 2003 and SharePoint 2007.
Service pack 1 or higher is required to run Source analysis on SharePoint 2010.

Summary
The summary screen provides the results of the analysis you just ran. This is a quick way to see how many site collections, sites, unused sites, and enabled workflows you have.
Note: The size gage (MB) gives a count of the total size of all site collections. The size gage does not include the size of your subsites. You can get a true total by exporting the result and adding up the size of all your site collections and subsites in Excel.
Potential migration limitations checks for issues that can arise during your migration.
If your analysis results in Warnings or Errors, you can click View details to see why the warning or error would occur, and access an article (when applicable) that will explain the issue in greater detail, and how to correct it.
Both Warnings and Errors should be corrected before running your migration by following the steps outlined in the articles you will be linked to depending on your scenario.

Where is the estimated migration time? Seems that it was removed after the update.
I'm asking the same question as Carla. The estimate on how long the migration of files from the network to Office 365 was so useful before. I know it was only an estimate, but it was usually pretty close to accurate and I really miss this.
Hello Carla and Fleur! We did remove the estimated migration time. It is very important to us that the app delivers a Source Analysis that is reliable, and helps you plan your migration. Unfortunately the estimated migration time was not representative of many of our user's realities.
We encourage you to submit feedback if this is something you would like our team to continue working on.
Thank you!
Can the Source Analysis be run via POSH?
Hi David,
ShareGate Desktop cannot run a source analysis via a PowerShell command.
We mainly have commands directly tied to migration tasks at the moment.
Bummer...please add it.
Thanks
Hi David,
Consider your feedback noted! I had already sent your previous comment to our product team.
