The Pre-Check Report is available while it is processing and can be found in All Tasks once it is complete. This report lets you know which items would migrate successfully, and which would have warnings or errors.
The Item Count column displays the number of items affected by the warning or message. While the Pre-Check Report process is running, this number will be automatically updated.
Click on any warning or error to list all items affected.
A warning indicates that your item type would be successfully migrated to the destination, but it will need to be modified, or something needs to be left out. A common example is a list that migrates successfully without a source field, because that field is not supported in the destination environment.
When warnings occur, it is almost always because something is not supported between versions, and the best solution is to manually create a substitute in your destination environment.
An error indicates that ShareGate Desktop will not be able to migrate the item type to the destination. Errors can be complex, and always have associated error codes and articles to help you work through why the error occurs and if there is a solution or workaround.
